Tonight, I proved to myself that I’m faster, stronger, and ready to endure the next level, whatever I choose it to be come Friday. Just a few more days of 30 Day Shred left!   • HOLY SMOKES DAY 8 ALREADY? :D :D kind of scared for level two, not even gonna lie…
  • Highs: I can feel myself getting stronger. Today was the first day that I made it through all 27 minutes without pausing once. I even made it through those terrible side squats at the end!!! Chest flys were sooo hard for me the first day, and now they’re easy as pie!!! Feeling the non-scale victories is by far the best part of participating in this program.
  • Lows: I don’t seem to be losing fat. I can tell that I’m gaining muscle, but I still have this layer of fat obscuring it. It’s really irritating that I’m working but not seeing physical/outward results. To top it off, there’s no movement on the scale either. Don’t get me wrong, I’m STOKED that I’m getting stronger, but I want to be able to SEE MY STRENGTH. What am I doing wrong?

TUMBLR LOVERS - any tips on how to clean up my diet? Admittedly I’m not eating that cleanly. Should I cut out all basic carbs (ie bread/rice/noodles/flour)? Should I add more cardio into my workout (right now my workout ONLY consists of the 30DS everyday, nothing else)? HELP ME PLEASEEE

  • holy smokes i am so weak. XD i was using 5 lb weights and the move where you squat to one side and lift the weights up to your eyes nearly killed me
  • i’m so going to be sore tomorrow
  • i almost didn’t do it…i’ve been sort of making excuses/putting off working out lately. this made me feel powerful and euphoric and reminded me why i love working out.
  • this morning, i stepped on the scale even though i just weighed myself yesterday. i went from 163.1 —> 164.6 and it sort of f-ed with my mind. getting back into the groove of working out helped ease the ‘OMG WEIGHT GOING UP’ feeling (i know it’s just a number, but…god damn it messes with my head)

right now I’m doing strength training from turbofire & biking. I might be able to squeeze in some biking in addition to the 30 day shred. Should I do that or just stick to the 30 day shred for now?
